Recent studies suggest that antioxidants play a significant role in preventing age related diseases. It is obviously in your best interests to care for yourself as well as you can, and an antioxidant rich diet, that complements a natural way of living, is a good habit to cultivate. Surely you will try to do as much as you can to protect yourself against the probable, but not inescapable, detrimental effects of the aging process.
