Just think of Apples, Berries, and Cauliflowers, because plenty of antioxidants are contained inside the 5 - 9 fruit and vegetables, that you are continually being advised to take in your diet. Look upon 5 fruits and vegetables as the lowest common denonimator, because all things being equal, you will get better antioxidant protection against free radicals from 6 - 9 portions than 5! Just as most fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, there are other foods that don't measure up. Among the most beneficial antioxidant foods obtainable are wild American blueberries. So if you know of any place you can buy some, or better still, where to pick your own, don't hesitate in staking your claim! You should not be too concerned if blueberries are unobtainable because the majority of other fruit and vegetables have a high level of antioxidants. By this time you will know that between 5 - 9 helpings of fruit and vegetables a day is what you should strive to achieve. You could make it your policy to make a move towards eight or nine portions, and you should then be well down the road to a natural health, free radical busting lifestyle. Be sure to ascertain which fruits and vegetables contain the highest level of antioxidants, and you could then discover that they are also deliciously tasty.
